A complete boiler refurbishment to replace time expired plant with new including a new building management system. Our Lady of St Theresa, Warwickshire.

THE BRIEF

Due to ongoing difficulties maintaining the boilers Spicer Surveys were asked to inspect the boilers which were found to be time expired and in need of replacement. Following a successful bid for funding Spicer Surveys were appointed to manage the complete boiler refurbishment replacing all the old equipment with new.

WHAT WE DID

Using an accredited independent mechanical engineer for the design of new/ replacement boiler systems, Spicer surveys designed and tendered the project and then oversaw to complete project to completion.

The project was undertaken during term time and during the winter months. Although due to weather the contract was extended by a couple of weeks the project was completed on budget and provided the school with the necessary guarantee. Works comprised of both overlay and stripping the existing roof coverings and installation of a new cut to falls system to enable storm water to run off better.  

THE RESULT

A brand-new heating and hot water system increasing the thermal efficiency and the school now have reduced risk of heating failure as well as lower energy consumption.
