Spicer Surveys tendered and managed the project to provide a new roof covering with 25-year single point guarantee covering materials and labour. St Edmund Campion, Birmingham.

THE BRIEF

Spicer Surveys Ltd were appointed following the successful bid obtained by the school. This meant that we had to work backwards, fitting the amount of work required to a certain budget whilst still providing a durable and effective installation to deliver a 25-year guarantee.

WHAT WE DID

Following our appointment, the project was tendered and then value engineered with the help of the roofing manufacturer to ensure works were completed within the set budget.

The project was undertaken during term time and during the winter months. Although due to weather the contract was extended by a couple of weeks the project was completed on budget and provided the school with the necessary guarantee. Works comprised of both overlay and stripping the existing roof coverings and installation of a new cut to falls system to enable storm water to run off better.
