Phased Re-roofing project at a School in Warwickshire.

THE BRIEF

Following a successful funding bid, Spicer Surveys Ltd were appointed as Principal Designer to oversee the roofing works at this school in Warwickshire. The first two phases have now been completed following this second phase and we are now working closely with the school to ensure the third and final phase is funded and completed in a timely manner.


WHAT WE DID

Spicer Surveys Ltd were involved right from the start, working with the Academy to provide initial scheme and budgets to enable a sucessful bid. The works have been phased to suit funding available and this second phase was completed in 2021. Spicer Surveys Ltd provided full project management support ensuring CDM compliance and monitoring the project until completion.

Spicer Surveys fulfilled the Principal Designer role and provided services including but not limited to:

  • Feasibility study

  • Measured surveys

  • Project Management

  • Contract Administration

  • Cost Planning & CDM compliance

The project was carried out over the 6 week summer period to minimise disruption to the school and came in under budget.

THE RESULT

With the project completed on time and under budget the second phase was a success alround. The roofs were all thermally upgraded in accordance with Building Regulation requirements and the client was provided with a single point guarantee for 25 years ensuring peace of mind.
